Apr, 1937 Capital increased to JPY 5 million
Sep, 1942 Merger with Tokyo Steel Co., Ltd.,increasing capital to JPY 11 million
Jun, 1945 Osaka Factory was severely damaged by air raids in the Pacific War leading to a complete shut-down of the factory
Jun, 1948 Took the first step towards a comeback with a new shipbuilding order for "The 2nd Governmental Shipbuilding Program"
May, 1950 Merger with Ohara Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (now Kizugawa Dockyard) to promote expansion of Ship Repair Division
Feb, 1973 Established Oshima Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. as a joint venture between Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Sumitomo Corporation in preparation for building larger vessels

Increased capital to JPY 110 million
Oct, 1994 Renovated the head office building. Optimized organizational structure through combining the Osaka Office of Oshima Shipbuilding, the Aerosol Division, the Osaka Sales Office of NICHIMOLY Division and the Information System Division
Dec, 1994 Established Shanghai Jiangnan Dazao Aerosol Industries Co.,Ltd. (J&D) in Shanghai, China as an offshore production base for the aerosol business
Oct, 1997 Obtained a controlling interest in Skypia Co., Ltd., a supplier of membrane materials for airships, to develop the company's profile in this market
Dec, 1998 NICHIMOLY Division acquired ISO9001 certification

Aug, 2000 Established Thai Daizo Aerosol Co., Ltd (TDA) in Chonburi province, Thailand, to strengthen offshore production base for the aerosol business
Feb, 2001 Established Thai Daizo Co., Ltd (TDN) in Thailand to strengthen production base for the Nichimoly business in Asia
Mar, 2001 Aerosol Division - Kyoto Plant acquired ISO 14001 certification.
Oct, 2002 Aerosol Division - Tokyo Plant acquired ISO 14001 certification.
Mar, 2006 Established Tokyo Plant No.2 of NICHIMOLY Division

May, 2010 Bike Park System Division - Began operation of bicycle parking facilities in Osaka's Kita district

Mar, 2012 Expansion of Tokyo Factory No.2 to take on the functions of Tokyo Factory No.1 and established the new Tokyo Factory.
Jan, 2013 Acquired Nihon Phyrin Co., Ltd.
Feb, 2014 Started photovoltaic business, utilizing the roof of Fukuzaki Distribution Center
Mar, 2014 Established Zhangjiagang Daizo Aerosol Co. Ltd (ZDA) in Jiangsu province, China to strengthen offshore production base for the aerosol business
Jul, 2014 Established Osaka Shipbuilding Yard Scholarship Foundation
Oct, 2015 Conversion to a public interest incorporated foundation - Osaka Shipbuilding Yard Scholarship Foundation
