Load●Wear resistance performance (wear scar diameter)■Four-ball test (ASTM D 2596) Rotating ballFixed ballsLoad cellLoadLoadcellGreaseThis is a test to evaluate the low-temperature performance of grease. A bearing filled with grease is installed in the test jig and rotated at a specified temperature (-40ºC or -30ºC), and the starting torque as well as the rotating torque after a specified time is measured. This serves as a measure of how easy the grease can move at low temperatures and as a guide for the lower temperature limit when using it in cold regions. This is a test to evaluate the lubricating performance of grease. The friction coefficient is calculated by sliding the plate while applying load and measuring the load on the ball. A lower friction coefficient indicates better lubricating performance. Three steel balls are fixed to a test container and submerged in grease. One rotating ball is located in the center of the fixed balls, contacting the fixed balls at three points, and the test is performed under load by turning the rotating ball. ●Load-carrying capacity test (weld load [WL])The ball is rotated at 1,770 rpm × 10 seconds, and the load at which the steel fuses is measured. The ball is rotated at 1,200 rpm × 40 kgf × 75ºC × 1 hour, and the wear scar diameter on the steel ball after the test is measured. 10■Low-temperature torque test (JIS K 2220 18) ■Reciprocating sliding friction and wear test■Other tests
